Counselors

About Camp Arroyo Counselor positions. Our camp serves children ages 6 ­ 21 with developmental disabilities. You will be paired up with a child or two and spend the day and evening assisting your child/camper in all the planned activities. In order to be a counselor you must have patience, compassion, and the ability to relate to children with special needs.

Counselors positions are paid positions. Applications are available all year and may be downloaded from this website. For more information including responsibilities, hours, and rates, please refer to the application and guidelines. Counselors need to understand both ENN rules and The Taylor Family Foundation rules.

Face to face interviews are required for new hire staff. Interviews are for both counselors and activitiy aides. Volunteer positions are perfect for high school students interested in helping children with special needs. Earn volunteer earns hours towards a certificate.
